The Office national des anciens combattants et victimes de guerre, based in Paris, contributes to mutual aid between generations.

Created in 1916 during the turmoil of the First World War, the National Office for Veterans and Victims of War is a public institution responsible for protecting the material and moral interests of its 3 million citizens: veterans, invalids and war wounded, war widows, wards of the Nation, victims of war and, more recently, of acts of terrorism. To adapt to the country's economic and social context, the ONACVG's missions have evolved over time. In addition to recognition and reparation, since the 1980s there has been a work of remembrance carried out in close collaboration with teachers and associations, with the 10 high places of remembrance managed by the ONACVG since 2011. Indissociable from the Office, the Oeuvre Nationale du Bleuet de France (ONBF), faithful to its vocation of supporting the victims of the conflicts of the 20th century, today allows each citizen to contribute to mutual aid between generations, a way of preparing a future of solidarity for all.
