Charming hotel near the Invalides and the Eiffel Tower with design rooms shielded against electromagnetic waves.
Just steps away from the Invalides and the Eiffel Tower, slightly behind Saint-Dominique street, this former convent was converted into a charming hotel, completely renovated in 2014. A small garden welcomes guests just at the entrance and the beautiful days it is ideal for having breakfast. The original decoration sometimes mixes past and present in shimmering colours. The stone walls host contemporary works. The rooms have nothing to do with their original function. These old meditation cells have become design spaces, one of them even has a bathtub near the bed. The most luminous are on the courtyard. And then the hotel thanks to its Green Spirit concept, innovates: the rooms are shielded from high electromagnetic waves and low frequencies, therapeutic mattresses, antistatic and electrically neutral; live water at the outlet of valves by a Weber Bio vortex water activator; harmonisation against electromagnetic pollution by Weber Bio technology; protected windows of high-frequency radiation; natural stone, ecological parquet, ecological carpet and 3 rooms for électro with low and high frequency protection… For breakfast, this is the French know-how: Marie-Anne Cantin cheese, pastry and bread from Nelly Julien, and Traiteur caterer for sausages, not forgetting coffees and organic teas.

Unser erstes Zimmer war ein einfaches Doppelzimmer, etwa 11qm groß, mit Wasserkocher, Kaffe und Tee, nem Kühlschrank und einem großen Bett (mit einer riesigen einzelnen Decke). Für nen Kurztrip sicher perfekt, aber für unsere großen Koffer doch etwas klein. Auch der vorhandene Schrank war etwas klein. Wie gesagt: für Kurztrips, 1-3 Nächte, sicher absolut ausreichend. Bad war ok, alles vorhanden, Handtücher werden auf Wunsch tgl. gewechselt.
Da uns das dann doch etwas zu klein war, sind wir in ein größeres Zimmer umgezogen, kleiner Aufpreis und völlig komplikationslos. Dort war das Bett auf nem Zwischenboden und es gab mehr Platz. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Das Bad dort hatte auch ein Fenster.
Klimaanlage war in beiden Zimmern vorhanden, fest auf 22° eingestellt, bleibt auf Knopdruck auch eingeschaltet, wenn die Zimmerkarte entfernt wird und keiner im Zimmer ist.
Der Zustand der Zimmer war ok. Kleinere Sachen (Abdichtung Duschtür, defekter Tisch) ließen sich sicher schnell reparieren. Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer war leider nur 4 von 5 Sternen. Nunja, es war nicht dramatisch, sollte aber erwähnt werden.
Ein besonderes Lob verdient das Personal an der Rezeption. Absolut zuvorkommend, Verständigung völlig super in Englisch möglich. Wir konnten unsere Eitrittskarten fürs Disneyland kostenlos ausdrucken lassen. Wir fühlten uns in sehr guten Händen. Perfekt trifft es nur unzureichend, besser kann man als Gast sicher nicht behandelt werden.
Das Frühstück war gut, etwas anders als sonst in Hotels gekannt. Brötchen, Brot und Gebäckstücke kamen frisch vom Bäcker, es gab keinen großartigen Müll, Marmelade, Aufstriche und Co. füllt man sich selbst aus dem Glas ab. Kaffeeautomat, Saftpresse für frischen Saft und selbstkochbare Eier im Eierkocher gibt es auch.
Falls wir mal wieder nach Paris kommen, dann sicher in eins der 3 Hotels der Green Spirit Kette.
