We come here to find a rare pearl coming from Iran or the Caucasus, unless one is more affected by the elegance of a Turkish room or Central Asia. As you will understand, we are here in the paradise of kilims, these woven carpets of exceptional quality. Anciens old woven at a time when there were no chemical dyes, semi-old or recent kilims, but made up using vegetable dyes, no time missing here. With regard to old parts, for forty years the owners of the gallery have been going four to six times a year in Turkey, for eight to ten days, to buy their parts one by one (never per batch) and they select only % of the pieces they see. However, far from being limited to any passéisme, these carpets show a modernity in their lines and colours that give them an astonishing universality!
