A museum built in the century, located on the edge of the Luxembourg Gardens, designed to exhibit works of art.

When the Palais du Luxembourg was built for Marie de Médicis in the 17th century, a gallery was created specifically for exhibiting works of art. With the allocation of the palace to the Senate in the early 19th century, in 1884 the upper house built the building that today houses the museum, and in 2010 entrusted the Réunion des Musées Nationaux with the management of the site. Located on the edge of the Luxembourg Gardens, it regularly hosts remarkable temporary exhibitions (Gertrude Stein and Pablo Picasso at the time of writing).

Belle exposition. Mais, 14€pour 2 salles (pas de pass éducation) c’est vraiment très cher payé !

Es un Museo imperdible. Sus instalaciones son, en comparación con otros museos, relativamente chicas pero, eso se puede aprovechar de manera singular, la exposición que albergue al momento de visitarlo será un experiencia íntima con las obras expuestas.
Los jardines que lo acompañan son un complemento hermoso.

Enjoyed the Picasso /Stein exhibit, creatively depicting the influences they had on one another. Relatively small and easily visited museum just outside the jardin du Luxembourg where you should allow time for a walk

Bijzonder museum en bijzondere tentoonstelling. Gertrude Stein & Pablo Picasso 13/09/23 - 28/01/24. Vooraf of achteraf een wandeling in het bijbehorende park of wandelen naar Saint Sulpice. De kerk en het plein bij SaintvSulpice is de moeite waard.
