LE PRINCE DE CONTI * * *
Hotel in a multi-storey building with rooms, some with terrace, and duplex suites with view on the Dome.
In a 6 th century building with an inner courtyard, the Prince de Conti Hotel, is located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and close to the quays of the Seine. On the ground floor, the reception and a small lounge overlooking the Guénégaud street offers a collection of "curiosities", a Renaissance-born practice and museum ancestor. These are presented in a specially designed and crafted cabinet. You can also admire a bronze sculpture by Catherine Masson: a dancer presented on a "tour" of sculptor. In the winter, the white tiled stove of the th century comes from Lorraine and is powered by an Alsatian craftsman… The hotel offers 4 room categories. Some have antique backgrounds with stretched tissue and others have very modern colors. Those on the ground floor even have a small terrace. The duplex suites offer a very contemporary world and a beautiful view of the Dome of the Institut de l'Institut de France. They also book beautiful surprises in their decoration…
I did ask for travel directions to one place and was told to get the RER line.
When I queried maintenance works on the RER that I had seen online, I was informed there were none which was incorrect.
