A friendly, traditional Parisian bistro serving family-style cuisine in a warm atmosphere.
Originally, and still, located on Rue Lauriston (16th arrondissement), the company has duplicated itself on the Left Bank, Rue du Cherche-Midi, in place of Christian Etchebest's Cantine du Troquet. It advertises itself as a "traditional, friendly bistro" serving family-style cuisine. It really is: red and white check tablecloths, retro lighting and, on the slate, classic comfort food. For us that lunchtime, it was an invigorating lentil-smoked salmon salad and a spicy pollack-lemon butter. Great! Warm atmosphere and friendly service.
