L'HÔTEL DES TOURNELLES
Henri II died after accidentally being injured in a tournament by the spear of the Earl of Montgomery. He received the care of Ambroise Paré, and Jean Chaplain, the king's first doctor, ordered the execution of six death sentences, so that Paré could recover his heads so that he could reproduce the wounds of the king. Lost sentence, Henri II died a few days after his injury. The Queen, Catherine de Médicis, left the district for the benefit of the Louvre and the castles of the Loire. The Hotel des Tournelles eventually destroyed, and the Place Royale - the future place des Vosges - was later built at the request of Henri IV. Admire the left part, much older than the rest of the building, sort of a little turret all right to a tale of Perrault.
