We know that Saint Louis came to pray in a church preceding it at the same location. He even took the Cross with his knights in 1269 to leave Jerusalem. The current church was inaugurated in 1679. It was sold as a national property in the Revolution and then acquired, its current decoration with baroque tone dating from the th century. The church offers the public wide access to religious music: the Schola Saint-Louis, participating in the parish liturgy and offering a hearing at the end of the year, is open to anyone wishing to deepen Gregorian chant. Various concerts of spiritual music are organized and a regular hearing of the large parish organs was held by Messrs. Alard and Rigot.

Je suis allé un mardi soir pour un concert de musique classique. Que dire, j’ai adoré l’église, belle, entretenue, vivante. Accueil chaleureux. Un seul bémol, j’étais avec une personne à mobilité réduite, j’ai du demandé aux passant de m’aider pour porter le fauteuil roulant. Je suppose qu’il y a d’autres accès. Peut être bloqués à cause des travaux.
Sinon, très basses température, surtout quand la personne avec toi et âgée et assis depuis trois heures. Mais bon, avec la crise d’énergie actuelle, on va pas chipoter.

Although Notre Dame was under reconstruction, they did an incredible job of documentation. Many features highlighted every specialty of skilled workers, from architects to welders. Beautiful tribute.

Mooie kerk, van binnen, staat in de steigers dus de buitenzijde was niet te bewonderen. Het concert dat we er bezochten was zoals we al een beetje vermoeden een toerust trap. Echt veel teveel geld voor een gek concert. Een Ave Maria zonder zang. Echt waar. En daarna de volledige vier jaargetijden in een onwaarschijnlijk hoog tempo. Net niet meer aantrekkelijk om naar te luisteren en bedoeld om te laten zien dat de solist dat echt heel goed kan. Wat ook zo is, hij speelt heel goed. Maar zonder al te veel bezieling, ook niet de anderen in het vijfkoppige ensemble.
