Unpretentious bistro in Paris preparing home-made specialties and seasonal fruit tarts.
An unpretentious bistro with a recognizable red façade, just a stone's throw from the Place des Vosges. A table frequented by many tourists, where you can satisfy a hunger at rather reasonable prices. The emphasis here is on traditional gourmet fare: country terrine, foie gras, boeuf bourguignon, the speciality (which has simmered for five hours)... Classic fare, but with a touch of modernity, as in this salmon tataki with grilled avocado. Attractive wine list. Open mornings and afternoons.

The gnocchi appetizer was the Very Best dish we had anywhere in Europe. The beef berginoun was rich and highly flavored.
