Bistro on the heights of Belleville offering meats, vegetables, an inventive and bistronomic cuisine.
Whether you push open the door for a drink or to join a table of friends, the pleasure is always the same. At Baratin, the broken cement tiles, old wooden tables, mismatched chairs and banquette are from another era. Yet Raquel Carena's incomparable cuisine is still there. If the volume is at its highest, it's to say loud and clear what we think of her bistronomic cuisine, which has stripped away all superfluity to focus on the essentials of taste and produce. Reservations strongly recommended.

When I visited le Baratin in Dec 23, it only was my second visit, after a few years gap, and like the first time, I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Every dish we had were absolutely delightful. Quality and freshness of the ingredients here are clearly top of mind in this kitchen. The wine list is carefully understated so as not to outshine the food menu, unquestionably the true hero of this establishment, as it should. The service is effective and friendly, and doesn’t shy away from the occasional witty quip, Parisian-style!

En arrivant j’ai été reçue à l’extérieur par un monsieur qui manifestement ne juge pas utile de dire bonjour à ses clients
Je lui ai indiqué que je souhaitais venir déjeuner.. il m’a répondu « avec ça la ? » oui oui il parle de la poussette.. « ah ben non impossible y a pas de place »
Soit dit en passant la devanture ce sont des baies vitrées donc je vois si il y a de la place ou pas.
Non, mon bébé n’est pas un vulgaire chien que j’attache au poteau le temps que j’aille me faire un os à moelle à 20 balles
