The Butte Montmartre, the site chosen for the installation of National Guard cannons in Paris.

Its name alone is world-famous: Montmartre! Visible from far and wide, it stands 130 metres high and dominates the north of the capital. On its summit, the basilica is the main landmark. A visit to the Montmartre hilltop will take you well over a day: in addition to the tourist attractions (Place du Tertre, Abbesses...), we recommend a stroll through the narrow streets, not forgetting the less-frequented streets to the north of the hilltop. Beautiful buildings, history around every corner, entertainment and a rich cultural life make this a must-see area of the capital.
