THE WALL OF I LOVE YOU
We know all the locks at the Arts Bridge in the 5 th arrondissement, but we know less "The Wall of the I Love You". And yet he also celebrates Paris, a city of lovers. In 1992, Frédéric Baron, a photographer photographer, dreams of a tour of the world dedicated to lovers. First, he asks his brother and then foreign neighbours to write these words of love in their language. He gathers a thousand "I love you" written in more than three hundred languages and dialects around the world. With the help of the calligrapher Claire Kitto, he assembles all these writings and imagines to reproduce them on a wall. " The wall of the I love you "is built on 40 square meters from 511 tiles in enamelled lava, on which shards of color represent the pieces of a broken heart.
Un hymne à l'amour pour les amoureux du monde entier qui vaut le détour dans le quartier de Montmartre!
