Further proof that this district, also known as La Chapelle or Marx Dormoy, is one of the capital's hippest and most up-and-coming. The proof is in the Vieille Pie. An open kitchen for this den specializing in burgers and bagels (we prefer the latter, but the former are good too!) opens onto a small room. Desserts, served with a smile, are also available. Other good points: an inexpensive Sunday brunch and the possibility of eating here - or even drinking a little black - every day of the week, Sundays included.
