OFFICE NATIONAL DE LA CHASSE ET DE LA FAUNE SAUVAGE
ONCFS is a national public institution of an administrative nature, placed under the supervision of the Ministry responsible for the environment and the ministry responsible for agriculture. It carries out police missions of hunting and the environment, sworn guards carry out hunting activities. The conduct of studies and research on wildlife and its habitats on 33 wild fauna reserves leads to development and experimentation activities. ONCFS provides technical and consulting support to territorial administrations and authorities in the management and management of the territory through the presence of technical agents, environmental technicians and engineers. The engineers are grouped within five C.N.E.R.A. (national study and applied research centres) specific to the game world: migratrice, deer and boar, mountain fauna, small sedentary fauna of plain plain, predators and pests. Finally, the Agency makes available to inspectors who organise the tests of the permit to hunt and deliver it.
