Restaurant offering an assortment of sushi in Paris.

The simplest things are often the best… This is a slogan that sticks wonderfully to the spirit of Zenzan where one comes from family cooking, Katei ryori in Japanese, concocted by Kimiko Maeyama, the chef, his sister Yukiko and several members of his family. If the house offers an assortment of sushi, it is mainly simple and tasty dishes that cherish  : nimono (small rice dishes in sauce and raw fish), tekkadon (vinaigré rice and raw tuna), tonkatsu (breaded pork sprinkled with Worcester sauce), chicken sauce teriyaki (made of soy, sugar and sake), oden, tempura, roasted salmon… Also amazing day dishes as well as beef langue.

Une première dans ce restaurant que je voulais tester depuis assez longtemps. Dans le positif j'aime beaucoup la présence du comptoir avec le maitre sushi que l'on voit préparer nos commandes. Mais celui ci n'est pas vraiment mis en valeur c'est vraiment dommage je trouve. Pour ce qui est des plats l'équilibre est bon et les plats savoureux mais je n'ai pas été séduit comme je l'ai été dans d'autres restaurants proposant des tarifs équivalents. J'ai bien aimé découvrir les fritures de poulpe.
Pas mal de choix de plats possible pour découvrir d'autres spécialités.

Très bon restaurant, des vrais plats japonais dans un décor très simple. Le poisson est frais, les soupes et fritures plein de goût. Le seul bémol serait le prix qui est un peu cher, mais la qualité faut la payer. C’est souvent plein à midi donc recommandé de réserver et c’est un peu plus détendu le soir donc plus facile de trouver une table.
