The Bachelor Pad is an impressive film Billy Wilder. It is also a bistro born in 2009 in an unlikely corner of the sixteenth district. A hateful academic case of Paris gargotier.
At the beginning, this bistro is fairly well prepared is the pata negra tasty. Immediately, I put my napkin ring here every 15 days, 20:30, my 80 years mother. Excluding frequent the tablas family.
The beginnings are difficult, the room with empty half that full half. One evening harsh winter boiler breaks down. Just two tables are occupied, but we stay, stoical.
Then, the bistro fracture intervenes: a quotation in the very trendy magazine Fooding attracts a younger, more hype, more extravagant. The will pata negra becomes inedible and you do not book longer in terrace. The cuisine is increasingly irregular, and large and beautiful young man with long hair has its moods peccantes.
Patrons are no longer considered, but are damaged. Not only the old food, but it forms with his son a paradoxical tandem like that Masters and servants are now their home.
Thursday of February, reservation is taken then experienced, with the following day at 20:30. This Thursday evening, a waitress leaves a hard message on my portable, indicating that "they make two services Friday evening... and that will be complicated for 20:30... and more it is a special evening". In light, patrons first day are invited to point their tastebuds elsewhere. Clear place for big eaters, and the thirty years the face reddened by the kiss fashion.
That retraces, at the beginning of the years 2000, Korova restaurant, fashion, who Jean-Luc Delarue his guests countermanded a people were invited to the last minute. This table sank in a few months.
But the following day, 19:00, new message and change of tone, us are expected, "as usual at 20:30". This time, cave it rebels, traces and fall on the brunette who plays the imbecile. But the fine bit of goods end up to the piece: "You can come, you had cancellations. " Quid then our booking confirmed since the day before? CQFD.
It is a pity that the Bachelor Pad is now in the antipodes film Billy Wilder.
In No - man's - Land of the Door St Cloud, this brasserie has the advantage of offers an honest classic cuisine of the southwest. It is good, but I find the bill a little savoury. Obviously that does not put off guests district because it is full noon and evening. More: the large sun terrace.
Excellent service, and good food.
A bit on the expensive side, but it is expected in this district.
Feels just like home.
