Parisian bistro serving a traditional home-made cooking in the respect of the products and the seasons.
Does Thomas Kazandjian ring a bell? Probably not. On the other hand, if you're told Raymond Berthillon, you're more likely to say yes. Well, the former is the grandson of the latter, the famous ice-cream maker, and Le Mathusalem is his stronghold. This table of regulars, at the foot of the Pont de Garigliano, has more than one trump card up its sleeve: its Art Nouveau decor; its friendly, knowledgeable staff; and, of course, its cuisine, which carries the colors of tradition (andouillette, tête de veau, bavette, brandade de daurade...). Reassuring.
