We just ate here tonight and we will absolutely be back. The service was impeccable - the employees are engaging, knowledgeable and personable, making for a a fantastic overall experience. And the food was so fresh and delicious. We had the focaccia appetizer with the selection of Italian olive oils and it was amazing. Thank you to the staff for a great experience.
I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining here in Paris, and I must say, it was utterly disappointing in every aspect. From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant, we were greeted with hostility from our server, whose behavior was not only rude but also racist. He practically threw our menus on the table and seemed to have a personal vendetta against our group.
Throughout the meal, the server's attitude only worsened. He nearly smashed glasses on our table, forgot to serve some of our dishes, and outright declined to allow us to cut a birthday cake for the celebrant. His treatment of the birthday boy was particularly appalling, displaying a complete lack of respect and decency.
As for the food, it was nothing short of a disaster. The dishes were exceptionally bland and pathetic, lacking any semblance of flavor or creativity. What's more, despite claiming to be an Italian-styled pseudo-French restaurant, they only serve pizzas on Saturdays, which was a huge disappointment considering it was my husband's birthday dinner.
The menu itself was a total bore, exuding a pretentious "playing too hard to be bougie vibe" that was off-putting. It's evident that the establishment has zero respect for people of color, as the server was seen happily mingling with French or white patrons but turned his nose up at us, despite us speaking in French to make it convenient for him to understand.
Overall, this was by far the worst dining experience I've had during my time in Paris, and I can confidently say that Piccolino is the worst food place in the Lauriston neighborhood. It was a complete waste of money and time, and the food was barely edible – it's more suited for hospital trays than restaurant plates. Perhaps if the server fixed his attitude, one might still have a chance of salvaging a better experience, but until then, I strongly advise against dining at this establishment.
Absolutely non Italian considering the atmosphere and food of this place. I ordered a ravioli which dint feel fresh while eating. The food wasn’t hot even. It’s absolutely overrated and overpriced.
Had a terrible experience. Waiter was very rude and did not care about creating a comfortable environment for us. Food was sub par at best, and considering the prices, I would never recommend this place to anyone.
We were there for a birthday and the waiter did not even allow us to cut a cake we brought. Very disappointed
The waiters are extremely rude and uncooperative. We felt very out of place and it felt like they were paying us to eat there instead of the other way around.
My experience was extremely disappointing. The waiter was not only rude but also uncooperative. It felt like they could not care less about the customers. The waiter forgot my starter and served the main course first (after a 45 min wait). Food was not bad.....but due to the extremely poor service, the entire experience was ruined. Won't be returning anytime soon.
Bediening was zeer vriendelijk.
