The large practice room in this centre is magnificent, with its parquet floor, fireplace and mouldings. It is spacious - 50 m² - and protected from outside noise by its double glazing. Spread over several levels - from 1 to 6 -, the weekly Iyengar yoga classes are taught by a dozen teachers for all ages. This centre, run by Faeq Biria, offers courses, internships and teacher training using the Iyengar method, based mainly on postural study (asanas), respiratory techniques (pranayama) and deep relaxation (savasana). The Iyengar method develops gradually, allowing the student to progress with confidence, without hurting himself. It develops both the ability to exercise, self-awareness and concentration, and leads to deep relaxation.
