PARIS AQUARIUM
A contemporary and colorful temple of aquatic life, with a shark tunnel, petting pool and two movie theaters.
With its 43 basins and large aquariums containing 4 million litres of water, its three cinemas showing must-see documentaries, but also entertainment films, ecological animations and shows, Cinéaqua is a very complete place to discover the marine world. Cinéaqua offers you a tour of the French coastlines of Metropolitan France and overseas, the Seine, the English Channel, the Atlantic, the Mediterranean, the Caledonian lagoon, the reefs of French Polynesia, the Indo-Pacific basin and much more. More than ten thousand fish and invertebrates live there. A 33-metre long tunnel will transport you to the middle of the sharks. 25 sharks of four different species, black tip sharks, nurse sharks, grey sharks and a zebra shark evolve in a huge underwater cathedral. The "petting" tank allows you to touch and feed Koi carp and other sturgeons. Various activities on the underwater world are offered to children, including a meeting with a diver or "sharks, endangered species" where they can ask all their questions about these fascinating species. Among the activities: nocturnal discoveries, brunch, grandparents' day. The Medusarium of the Paris Aquarium presents the different oceanic ecosystems that shelter these species and raises awareness of the impacts of global warming on the oceans. 5 large magic pools house 5 species of jellyfish. Interactive terminals provide innovative educational content.
