HÔTEL DE L'EXPOSITION TOUR EIFFEL * * *
Hotel with a contemporary decor where the builders of the Eiffel Tower stayed, with soundproofed rooms and a garden.
The workers who participated in the construction of the Eiffel Tower nearby were at the time at the Hôtel de l'Exposition. Old paintings made in the 1950 s on the Eiffel Tower adorn the reception. A series of figures behind the bar Le Pavillon recalls the dates of the various exhibitions that marked the history of the capital. A little further, in a window we discover photographs, works and antiques. Lovers of the Citroën brand will enjoy sleeping right next to the old study offices that gave birth to the famous Traction, 2 CV and DS. The rooms are spread over six floors. It is not possible to add extra beds but some double rooms can be combined to form a family suite for 4 people. The decor, very contemporary, is sober and comfortable at a time. Twelve rooms overlook the garden, on the back of the hotel, others open onto the street, but all are perfectly soundproofed. Breakfast is served in a beautiful vaulted room with stone walls and a wall, treated as a trompe, takes over the theme of the Eiffel Tower.
