A park with a fine collection of tree species and a variety of sports facilities to discover in Paris.
The Cité began to be built in the 1920s on vacant land formerly occupied by fortifications. Financed by patrons and governments, the buildings housing students and researchers are surrounded by a park of about 37 hectares with a hundred species of trees (tulip tree, sequoia...) and sports facilities. Note that two buildings bear the signature of Le Corbusier: the Maison du Brésil with Lucio Costa, and the Swiss Foundation with Pierre Jeanneret.
