Indian restaurant located at the foot of the Montparnasse tower offering traditional dishes.

At the foot of the Montparnasse tower and very close to the cinemas, this Indian restaurant is ideal for eating before or after a movie. On the ground floor, the very small room is still crowded, customers are squeezed like sardines in a can. Unless you are agoraphobic, prefer basement rooms to labyrinth-like airs. The smiling welcome and generous formulas make you never feel aggrieved in what remains a neighbourhood restaurant without any bad or pleasant surprises. Traditional (and takeaway) dishes, such as tandoori chicken, Kashmir lamb, biryanis and, for dessert, a gulab jamun (sweet golden balls). Organises receptions.

La personne qui nous a servi était un amour, on s’est senti très à l’aise et bien accueilli.
La nourriture était généreuse et délicieuse. Les prix étaient plus que raisonnable. On nous a fait découvrir l’Inde et c’était génial !!

Me and my wife visited Paris for the first time and were on the lookout for good Indian restaurants as we have been deprived of good Indian food since we moved to Frankfurt. We saw that the rating of this restaurant was good and our hotel was nearby so we decided to give this restaurant a go and we were extremely happy to know that we made the right choice. We visited the restaurant around 7 pm on Saturday and were the first few guests, we ordered chicken seekh kebab, chicken tikka masala on the server's advice and plain naan and it was absolutely delicious, mouth watering food. We found the quantity was less but the taste was super, absolutely brilliant. We were so happy with the food that we decided to go again before we left for Frankfurt. It was Sunday lunch time and we arrived at the restaurant at 12:39 noon, we ordered the same chicken seekh kebab, chicken tikka masala and a new dish mughlai chicken korma along with plain naan, we were given complementary small glasses of orange tropicana juice which was very kind of the restaurant. This time around the chicken kebab and tikka masala was not on the same taste as last time but the new dish mughlai Akbar korma was one of the best dishes i have tasted, the gravy was out of this world and the chicken was so soft that it dissolved in our mouth, extraordinarily good. We just mentioned to our server that the kebab was not that great and he immediately conveyed the message to the cook and the owner and immediately we got another complementary dessert on the house which was again so kind of the owner. Overall food and taste is 5/5. The ambience needs work as the place is buzzing and with so many guests they need to spruce up the ambience but I would recommend everyone who visits Paris and stays near the Gaite and Montparne area to visit this restaurant and you will definitely not be disappointed. A big shoutout to the owner and the server, they were top notch.
