Initially, there is an article in L'Express which tells a story of intergenerational experience in Spain. In addition, there is a finding of the difficulties faced by young people in housing in France, and the terrible heatwave of 2003 proving how isolated the elderly are. So many elements leading to a new solution: the creation of a network of intergenerational solidarity in France. This is a remarkably interesting initiative, because it can help bring about a rapprochement of so wretched generations in our society by combining it with a problem of practical concern: looking for housing for young people. The goal of Pari-Mutuel Solidarity is to connect young people between 18 and 30 years in search of housing and senior citizens who, with available spaces, wish to have company and someone with whom to share tasks of daily life. The approach is personalized. Solidarity Pari defines the expectations of seniors and checks for students the conformity of accommodation conditions - comfort, hygiene, surface… throughout the year, the association extends its action to its members by ensuring follow-up and verifying that the agreements are well respected.
