The Association, which is recognized as a public utility, is aimed at patients and their families. Its aims are to promote research and support patients and carers on a daily basis, by helping patients to understand their disease in order to live better, by strengthening the link between patients and the various medical and social workers, by giving them opportunities and means to overcome their isolation... The association organizes meetings and conferences on research, carers or patients during the World Day devoted to the disease on April 11 each year.
