The Oriens library was created by J. Philippe and Véronique Geley in 1983. It specialises in rare, old or exhausted works in all languages, on all countries and especially on the following geographical areas  : China, Japan, Korea, Central Asia, India, Southeast Asia, Africa, Islam, Maghreb, Old and Modern Middle East, Balkans, Greece, Turkey, Oceania and Pacific… The bookshop publishes a bi-annual newsletter entitled the Orientalist Newsletter.
