NATURIST AREA OF THE BOIS DE VINCENNES

Experimented from 31 August to 15 October 2017 on the proposal of the EELV group to the Paris Council with consultation of naturist structures including the Association des Naturistes de Paris (ANP), a 7,300 ^m2 space in the heart of the Bois de Vincennes was opened to naturists. The practice of naturism was renewed in 2018 and 2019, following the very positive results of the test period.

This open area has a municipal by-law authorizing the presence of naturists and therefore nudity over a defined period of time with very specific schedules. A charter installed on panels delimits the natural enclosure of this site from prying eyes. Carpet of wild herbs, this place is a solarium of the most natural kind. Picnics, yoga classes, volleyball games, aperitifs are regularly organized by naturists, clubs and the ANP which heads the place.

The naturist area of Paris is under the regular supervision of the police forces who make rounds there. The ANP watches over the grain, by providing popular education and pedagogy to people wishing to enjoy a sunbathing, a moment of relaxation in the simplest held in the center of the French capital and passers-by.

Signs with a charter of use and the order are placed at the 4 entrances of the clearing, reinforcements of the signage upstream of the space authorizing the practice of naturism in order to guarantee the good information of all the users of this sector of the Bois de Vincennes are put in place.

The charter clearly states that nudity is only allowed on the entire clearing and not in adjacent undergrowth. Any act of exhibition, voyeurism, photography, stolen videos or inappropriate behaviour will automatically be sanctioned by the authorities.

It should be recalled that this area is public, mixed, free and open to all. This means that naturism is allowed but not mandatory. Therefore, non naturists can also settle there.

Each year, after evaluation, an order must be validated by the Marie de Paris to reopen the Espace naturiste du Bois de Vincennes. Let's hope that this site dedicated to naturism can become permanent over time thanks to a permanent authorization by municipal decree.
