The elegant entrance of this small charming hotel is cute: parquet, embrases curtains, beautiful wooden staircase. The reception is welcoming with warm colors, with scent of scented candles. The rooms have a well-kept décor where antique furniture is filled with fabrics with soft tones, fireplaces, large ice creams, niches, tables, and is in a comfortable and intimate bourgeois house. The breakfast room, completely refurbished, is very pleasant with wrought iron tables. For a breath of greenery, the Bois de Vincennes is at the end of the avenue. Little more: The Golden Door hotel has been Green and has been awarded the Ecolabel in addition to the Green Key, a label already awarded to more than 1 500 establishments in 28 countries. In the programme: energy and water saving, recycled products, recycling bins, ecological cleaning products, bed linen and towels, breakfast from fair trade products, etc. And soon: set up a car car system to connect the airport.

Great location with metro line 8th just outside.
Very friendly and available staff
Metro passes just underground the hotel so it could be annoying for light sleepers but wasn’t a problem for us
I received a survey before our stay there and I explained that my wife is pregnant, I had a room at the 4th floor to avoid nuisance and less metro vibrations which was very nice from them.
(Very small) elevator available but checked by professional and very convenient.
Si vous souhaitez dormir en compagnie de vos voisins (dessus, dessous, côté...) c'est l'endroit idéal ! Le bonheur simple de partager de bons moments avec vos voisins sans aucune intimité.
de plus, juste au-dessus du métro, vous serez bercés par les tremblements répétés (toutes les 2min) du tram parisien.
Le tarif abordable en fait un candidat sérieux aux 5 étoiles...
Enfin, j'oubliais, si vous aimez les petits déjeuner ne proposant pas de choix à un prix gastronomique, c'est l'endroit idéal !

Expérience catastrophique : la chambre était bien mais la ventilation au dessus d l'entrée faisait un bruit infernal par intermittence. La personne a l'accueil se disait intérimaire et ne voulait prévenir personne dans sa hiérarchie pour arranger la situation malgré mon insistance, ce qui aurait ete simple puisque j'ai pu constater que d'autre chambres étaient inoccupées au même étage que moi. Aucune aide, aucun effort.
Enfin j'ai eu la désagréable expérience de découvrir que les appartements sont extrêmement mal isolés, puisque vers 1h30 du matin mon voisin me réveillait avec de la musique et sa parade amoureuse (au début j'ai cru qu'il était dans la même pièce...).
Donc hôtel malhonnête, isolation mauvaise, personnel inutile.
