This church dates back to the second half of the century, when the present-day Boulevard Voltaire was built in Paris.
Saint-Ambroise church dates back to the second half of the 19th century (1863-1869), when the present-day Boulevard Voltaire was built. These changes date back to Baron Haussmann's major works in Paris. Architect Théodore Ballu gave it a neo-Romanesque style, with Gothic details such as rosettes. Its two immense bell towers (each 68 meters high) are easily spotted from afar, topped by a cross and a weather vane in the shape of a rooster standing guard. If you're in the area, it's well worth a visit.
