This Général is unpretentious even if it is one of the hotels that deserve its stars. The website was thought of by a very popular architect Jean-Philippe Nuel, who retained certain elements by integrating them into a total redevelopment. Vintage is honoured with an urban style and industrial materials: stainless steel tables in the breakfast room where the word Amour appears in large format. A large library and low furniture in the lounge and the lobby makes you feel like entering your friend's home especially as photos line the walls here and there. The rooms are available in white and dark grey, in tones enhanced by colour photos. You can take part in a pastry classes led by Carl Marletti, wine and tequilas tastings or go on organized excursions by foot, bike or skate.

We did realise we had a double room but preferred a twin (I snore a lot so annoy the OH) we asked if it could be changed but there were no rooms available. In the morning they arranged to move our rooms while we were out sightseeing and actually moved everything to an upgraded twin room for us which was amazing service.
During our stay we got recommendations on restaurants and bars which did not disappoint and we had breakfast included which was top quality and just what we needed to set us up for the day.
The ambience and feel of this hotel is great, really personal and always a smile from every staff member who could not do enough to make sure your stay was perfect.
Beds were very comfy and the spotlessly clean throughout. Great toiletries and facilities in the room all included.
When we checked out, we were able to leave our bags, and on collection they offered us coffee/refreshments before we left.
Overall - it made for a perfect weekend and would return in a heartbeat if we were to make the trip again.

The breakfast selection was good and was price value. Unfortunately we didn’t had time to explore all the facilities from the hotel but is a good excuse to come back.
