Church built on the ruins of a abbey in Paris.
Saint-Laurent church is located at a large, busy crossroads in the capital. It stands on the ruins of a 4th-century abbey, and as you look at the architecture of the building, you immediately realize that it was born of a mixture of different influences. Much of the building is in the Flamboyant Gothic style (15th century), but there are also elements dating from the 16th to 19th centuries. This church, which counted Saint Vincent-de-Paul among its parishioners, is well worth a visit.
