The Musée de l'Homme is staging a magnificent exhibition dedicated to rock art records. These are paintings on paper or canvas created by artists around the world in the early 20th century, during expeditions to learn more about the origins of mankind. The exhibition, which brings together 200 documents and objects, also recounts the adventures of these incredible journeys, shows the source of inspiration these surveys were for twentieth-century artists, and documents contemporary techniques for transposing and preserving cave paintings. While the works have already been exhibited in major museums, it is an honor to welcome them to Paris. For further information, click here.
