The new exhibition held at the Museum of History of Paris Carnavalet traces these great moments of struggle led by women in Paris for their emancipation, from the French Revolution to the law on parity. The exhibition follows a chronological thread and highlights names such as Olympe de Gouges, Gisèle Alimi, but also lesser known Parisian women, resistance fighters, pacifists and other feminist activists. Photos, films, posters, paintings, sculptures, militant and unusual objects, the public is transported to the heart of an original synthesis of the history of the struggle for women's rights in Paris.
