The exhibition Painting Outside the World, Monks and Scholars of the Ming and Qing Dynasties presents a collection of masterpieces of Chinese painting kept in the Hong Kong Museum of Art. Three centuries of Chinese painting and more than 100 masterpieces, paintings and calligraphies, exhibited for the first time in Europe. The works were created between the middle of the 15th century and the beginning of the 18th century, a key moment in the history of China, symbolized by a profound historical rupture and which is reflected in a dynastic alternation. It is notably during these three centuries that the aspiration of sages and poets to live in the midst of nature was brought to light under the brushstrokes of painters such as Badashanren and Shitao monks. A unique exhibition to see in Paris. More information on the website of the Cernuschi Museum
