8 - Mejgorié, the secret Russia

In southeastern Russia, in the Bashkirian Republic, Mejgorie is a city of 16,450 inhabitants that is banned from tourism or the press. This military site protected by the army would have an underground complex of more than 1,000 m2. Some rumours admit that it is an anti-nuclear war bunker or a secret intelligence centre. According to the Kremlin, it would simply be a mining site

7 - Zone 51, the paranormal in the heart of the United States:

Renamed Dreamland or Neverland, Zone 51 is a secret military base in Nevada. X-files fans will remember this area inhabited by aliens, moreover many theories suggest links between the American army and small green men! Other rumours see it more as a testing ground for firearms or state-of-the-art devices. The choice is yours!

6 - The impenetrable sanctuary of Ise in Japan:

Of the hundred or so buildings that make up the Ise Sanctuary, in Mie Prefecture in Japan, only a tiny part is open to the public. It is therefore impossible to discover all the treasures of this place, which is highly sacred to the Shinto religion. Every twenty years, this site is demolished and rebuilt to preserve its purity. To access the main sites, you will need to be of imperial blood and a Shinto priest or priestess

4 - Mount Athos, forbidden but not to everyone

Mount Athos is one of the most mysterious religious sites in Greece. Located in the far north of the Chalkidiki peninsula, in the northeast of the country, it is home to a community of monks living in a closed environment. It is difficult to enter, but for men, it is possible with an authorization. For women, on the other hand, entry has been strictly prohibited since 1046 in order, it is said, to avoid any temptation!

As we all know, rents in Paris are excessive and the market is saturated. It is forbidden to visit this Brazilian island, off the coast of São Paulo, but anyway, we wouldn't really want to! Over 23 hectares, there is the world's largest concentration of poisonous snakes. They are everywhere: on the ground, in trees, on walls... So much so that only scientists are allowed to enter the island to protect these charming little animals!
