Museum located in Saint-Cloud, retracing the history of the fall of Napoleon III, through paintings, sculptures and objects
This estate was given by Catherine de Medici to her squire and Louis XIV bought it for his brother, the future Duke of Orleans. In the 17th century, the house was transformed into a castle and Le Nôtre designed a park with a large waterfall that can be admired today. The property became the summer residence of the sovereigns until the fall of Napoleon III. Burned around 1870, the castle was razed in 1892. Through paintings, sculptures, objects, etc., the museum tells the whole story.
