13 kilometres southwest of Paris, the Verrières-le-Buisson national forest extends over both the Essonne and Hauts-de-Seine regions. From the office in the heart of the town, you first head for the orientation table, almost at the entrance to the woods. This loop of about ten kilometres then evolves in the middle of oaks, chestnuts, ash trees, hornbeams and birches; perhaps you will also meet some rabbits, field mice and other weasels... Back in Verrières-le-Buisson, take the time to explore the city and its rich architectural heritage. The Château des Vilmorin, the Château Régnier, the Domaine Vaillant or the Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption church are on your way; a great opportunity to enhance your walk with a little culture!
