Built in several stages during the 18th and 19th centuries, on agricultural land with a farm, it was initially a seigneurial house, enlarged and named after a castle in 1774. This castle, therefore, includes living rooms, dining room and various rooms arranged around a large staircase. After the Second World War, it became a training centre and was acquired by the city of Gif-sur-Yvette in 1976. Today, it is a cultural centre where conferences, exhibitions, concerts and artistic activities take place. It is very pleasant to walk in its park, which contains a small vegetable garden.
