Museum of Fine Arts exhibiting paintings, sculptures, prints and art objects from the 16th to the 20th century in Reims.

From Arts to Fine Arts. Whether you are fond of art or completely hermetic, you can't skip this museum, treasure of the City of Reims of which Henri Vasnier, defender of Art Nouveau and great collector, left a large part. The museum was set at the town hall, then transferred to the former Saint-Denis abbey, acquired by the City in 1908. It is now still occupying this location which is partly consistent with the abbot's residence of the 18th century, rebuilt in the 19th century. Themes illustrate, by famous names, the greatest movements in the art history from the 16th to the 19th century: portraits by Cranach father and son, Delacroix, Courbet and many impressionists. This room also evokes Nabis; Fauvism; cubism and the second half of the century with Elena Viera da Silva, Charles Marq, Brigitte Simon...

The museum is not very big, but it is worth a visit. French and Dutch paintings, more than twenty Corot and a replica of the Death of Marat. The entrance is not high (€ 4 in full price).

il y a une collection de tableaux de Camille Corot, quelques tableaux de peintres hollandais et flamands, le musée n'est pas grand mais ça vaut le coût de faire un tour
The museum welcomes temporary exhibition " Arts bustle. Champagne! " , which offers stage champagne in art in many forms. There is the famous poster of toulouse-lautrec " divan japonais" , and I will remember also contemporary works adding a funny and offbeat touch.
The room 20th contains interesting paintings.
