Replica of the Massabielle cave of Lourdes located in a park of the diocese in Mesnil-sur-Oger, to discover.
No need to go on pilgrimage to Lourdes to admire the grotto of Massabielle, scene of the 18 apparitions of the Virgin to Bernadette Soubirous, its exact replica is here. This building is the work of Father Louis Mocquet who decided in 1932 to reproduce the grotto of Lourdes in a park of the diocese. Based on the dimensions of the original grotto taken by the abbot and his architect friend, Victor Moreau, the Meslinois took on the task of constructing the building which was blessed on August 15, 1933.
