The Gosset-Brabant family are true purists who work their wines according to the rules of the art, and prioritize qualitative excellence at every stage of the winemaking process. Today, Michel and Christian Gosset manage a 9.6-hectare vineyard planted with 65% pinot noir, 15% chardonnay and 20% meunier. Two cuvées in their range melted our hearts, starting with the Grande Réserve Brut and its notes of cooked peach and honey, followed by the Millésime 2002, which reveals a sublime aromatic bouquet of white flowers and lemongrass.

Pierre and Marie-Paule Cheval-Gatinois, who represent the 11th generation, will tell you all about their 7.5 ha, 100% Pinot Noir Grand Cru vineyard. Here, the musts are vinified vine by vine and variety by variety. Disgorgement is still carried out the old-fashioned way, on the fly. After an hour's visit, we move into the reception room to discover the entire range. The wines are of the highest quality, especially their coteaux-champenois "Aÿ rouge", made with grapes from their two oldest plots.

In this family, we have been winegrowers from father to son for 3 generations. The vineyard of about fifteen hectares is worked with thought and common sense (VDC and HVE level 3). The House ships more than half of its production worldwide, which shows how its success is growing. The welcome at the House is always warm and allows you to discover the century-old cellars, dug under 25 meters of chalk, with a capacity of 3 million bottles that age for a minimum of 48 months. The House also has a very beautiful residence with 5 rooms.

The creation of this family house goes back to the 17th century, with today a vineyard of 13 ha. The vineyards are located on the hillsides of Damery, Hautvillers, Fleury-la-Rivière and especially Cumières, and have been worked under integrated pest management for over 15 years. The work, plot by plot, the vinification by small batch, in the old way, and wines which age for the most part in oak barrels. At the Geoffroy's, we like to work more particularly the red grape varieties, pinot noir and pinot meunier to elaborate champagnes of a rare quality.
