ÉGLISE SAINT-GERMAIN
A must-see church of modest size, with a paneled single nave rebuilt in its entirety in the 18th century
Saint-Germain church dates back to the 16th century and retains its original parish cemetery. Modest in size, it features a paneled single nave that was completely rebuilt in the 18th century. Apart from the vaulted ceiling, which is in excellent condition, the choir is the second eye-catching feature. It is bathed in light thanks to the addition of late-Gothic pointed-arched windows, quite astonishing for the period. Last but not least, the central bell tower bears the markings of the Knights of the Maltese Cross, attesting to their participation in its erection.
