The principal employer of the canton, the Établissements manufacture rubber boots in Châteauvillain entirely handmade, a unique know-how transmitted from the masters bottiers to apprentices since 1927. 150 people work there today and need to know that each boot is unique and requires more than 150 manual operations, then they are cooked in autoclave and finalized in the workshops.
