JEANNE D'ARC'S HISTORICAL TRAIL IN HAUTE-MARNE

The route of the historic Jeanne d 'Arc Trail was determined so as to respect the Pucelle voyage as closely as possible during the first two stages of the journey that led her to Chinon. Jeanne leaves Vaucolors at 19 in February 1429, and would have traveled 5,000 km on horseback. The route is now marked, from Domrémy-la-Pucelle (his home village) to Cunfin, from one of the effigy of Jeanne straddling her destrate, bearing its colors (white and blue). Crossing the Champagne over 130 km, the GR 703 trail is marked by directional arrows and mapped and historical signs. The path of Fronville to Blécourt is always the same as at the time. The legend says that the famous Virgin of Blécourt was found at the site of the fountain (in the Mussey forest) and removed by its inhabitants. Hikes are very well explained on the online document.
