Housed in a Renaissance townhouse, the Maison de l'Outil et de la Pensée Ouvrière in Troyes displays over 12,000 antique tools in showcases organized by theme. This unique venue pays tribute to the skills of craftsmen and to working-class thinking. In addition to the museum, it houses an exceptional resource center: France's second-largest technical library, with over 32,000 works, including rare editions on trades, techniques and transmission.

Annual closing: January 01 and December 25; Exceptional closing: one week at Christmas time. Every day, from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm. From October to the end of March: closed on Tuesdays. Free until 12 years old. Adult : 8 € (reduced 4 €). Children (12 to 18 years old) : 4 €. Audioguide rental: 1 €. Guided tour (group of 30 people. Fixed price of 95 € in addition to the reduced rate entrance ticket). Store. Animations. Library.
