A little lost in the narrow streets of the Cap, this museum is set in a beautiful, typical hotel typical of Renaissance architecture, impressive by its portal and double staircase. From the name of the Cistercian Abbey of Vauluisant to which it depended, it fully falls within the theme of the year: the Renaissance. Built in the mid th century, it is the memory of what was the major industry in the city: bonneterie. The company Bugis, famous for its fabrics production, collaborated with a fashion photographer to pay tribute to the textile in an exhibition. Sets of textile machinery and production - lingerie, stockings, socks… - illustrate the evolution of fashion and techniques from the th century to the th century. He also has a collection of beautiful sculptures, paintings and a few stained glass windows of Linard Gonthier.
En sintonia con el entorno.
