Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul, 114 m long, 50 m wide and a vault of 28.50 m high, known for its 182 stained glass windows
This building is among the largest in France: 114 m long, 50 m wide for the transept, and a vault that rises to 28.50 m high. Around 1198, the bishops Garnier de Traînel, then Hervée, decided to erect here one of the most beautiful cathedrals in France. They wanted it to be a masterpiece: all the styles of gothic art are represented there. The cathedral is also famous for its 182 stained glass windows. This cathedral inspired the one in Strasbourg.

Cathédrale assez impressionnante et facile d'accès. Elle est constitué de beaux vitraux à proximité du quartier historique.

Très belle cathédrale très surprenante par son architecture : une seule tour, un fronton très sobre sans décoration et quasiment pas de statues. Mais des vitraux de toute beauté et une luminosité intérieure exceptionnelle. A découvrir !

Superbe cathédrale. Une belle nef avec une ambiance vraiment austère typique des cathédrale de l'époque. Visite obligatoire si on passe par Troyes.

Les vitraux sont magnifiques, prenez vos jumelles!! Il y a une crypte avec des objets fabuleux à ne pas rater.

Comme lu sur le précédent commentaire, on a nous aussi été très surpris de la belle luminosité à l'intérieur de la Cathédrale malgré un temps très maussade et pluvieux. Les vitraux de la rosace sont très beaux. D'un point de vue architecturale, la visite de cette cathédrale vaut le coup d'oeil.
