Discovering the city of Troyes
Troyes, capital of Champagne, from the top of its ten churches, its inescapable factory shops in two peripheral poles… Seen from the sky, a cap to the thousand faces in sum, that constantly evolve, open and energize. In less than 8 kilometres, a walking tour in the streets and streets of the city centre, numerous and sometimes amazing, such as Thérèse-Bordet Street, will allow you to discover at your own pace the assets of this beautiful city to the colorful half-timbered houses. Starting from La Halle (24, rue Louis-Ulbach), you will be chevaucherez up to the first place, Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul Cathedral (59 rue de la Cité), whose façade has just returned to its noble colours. Turn left and embark on Chrestien-de-Troyes street; a new hook on the left and you will discover another marvel, the Museum of modern art. To get down to Saint-Urbain Basilica, two solutions are available to you. You choose the long loop along the quays on Henri-Barbusse Boulevard or you reach directly the opposite bank via the rue de la Cité (you will have to return to your steps in a few metres). Then access the place Alexandre-Israel, just behind the City Hall (16, rue Aristide-Briand), you will then frôlerez the authentic Saint-Jean neighbourhood. Do not go next to the church of Madeleine (rue de la Madeleine: You can't fool yourself!) with his sublime jubé and hop, a stop at the Maison de l'Tool et de la Pensée Ouvrière (3, rue de la Trinité). Take the inevitable Cats'Alley, the Golden Mortar Court, and Emile-Zola Street. Finally, before you reach your point of departure, we suggest a little tour on the side of the rue de la Monnaie and the place Jean-Jaurès.
