HUGUES DE PAYNS MUSEUM
A museum where everything is done to enhance the forgotten history of the founder of the Order of the Temple, Hugues de Payns
In this noble museum, everything is done to value the forgotten history of the founder of the Temple of Temple, Hugues de Payns. The tour is guided and allows to discover an extraordinary archeological site that preserves all the foundations of the buildings of the order; The multicolored pavement of the chapel has been in place for 850 years! A small museum, certainly, but sharing its knowledge and discoveries. We also like to get the legendary stories of Payns Templiers or benefit from the teaching materials for children. Let us salute the association that is fighting to make a whole world discover, so far as to imagine being able to update the first templière house one day. So far, she's waiting wisely under a meter of land in the village.
