At the departure of the tourist office, this hiking tour takes you to the discovery of the small town of Aix-en-Othe. In a dozen steps and less than 4 kilometres, you will have a good overview of its historical and natural heritage. Saint-Avit Chapel is your first step. Built in the th century, it is now listed in the historical monuments Inventory. The cemetery is your second step: if it seems a sad visit, focus on the funeral monuments Millot and Zambianchi, the rich architecture. On the road to the fourth stage, the Memorial Monument, note the presence of the former factories Furgon and Gabut, testimony of the growth of the industry bonnetière in the th and th centuries… This will be your third step. The hall, Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativity church, and-de-la-Assomption and City Hall are steps 5, 6, and 7 respectively. Before reaching the Freedom tree, note the remains of the fortress castle: in the th century, it welcomed the upto de Troyes. Finally, go to the Fountains Park to complete your cultural circuit.
